THANKS for making the First Annual SOS Family FunFest a rocking success! On September 29 in Depot Town, Ypsilanti, Community Records hosted a fundraising event for SOS Community Services . SOS is a local non-profit that serves homeless families in Washtenaw County.  The event featured some amazing musicians.  Look for the live recording here soon!  We raffled off cd baskets of music (many signed by the artists) by a variety of artists, including Trout Fishing in America, Dan Zanes, Sari Brown, Spaghetti Cake, Jamison, The 77's, Milkshake and The Candy Band and we made SOS Community Services a nice chunk of change!  We would like to thank these bands from the bottom of our collective hearts for sharing their music for such a good cause.

THE CANDY BAND performed their irresistibly irreverent renditions of several children's classics as well as some of their own songs ("Rock Paper Scissors").  Check out their latest cd, Calling All Kids on their website, www.candyband.com.
